Alan Redpath Audio Sermons

Alan Redpath’s parents were James and Christina Redpath. He was their only son. After his schooling at Durham School, he started his studies to be a chartered accountant in Newcastle. After his studies were completed in 1928, he worked for ICI as a chartered accountant until 1935. It was in 1936 that he joined the National Young life Campaign as an evangelist.  After that, in 1940, he was called to become the pastor the Duke Street Baptist Church in Richmond, London. Redpath moved to America next, to be the pastor of the Moody Church. During that time in 1961, he was an honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree. The next year he returned to the UK to become the pastor of the Charlotte Baptist Chapel. While there, he suffered a deadly stroke from which he recovered, although he was deeply depressed afterwards. In 1966 he left Charlotte Capel to travel, speaking at conferences and churches. He died in Birmingham, England. The impact of his life will continue to touch lives. Characteristic of his direct and insightful preaching is this memorable quote, “The conversion of a soul is the miracle of a moment, but the manufacture of a saint is the task of a lifetime!”
