There’s one who hears my pleading cry,

When others simply walk on by.

There’s one who hears my pleading cry,

When others simply walk on by.

There’s one who knows my deepest need,

When others simply do not heed.

When no one hears my heavy sigh,

There’s one who watches with his eye.

When no one shares my heavy load,

He walks with me along this road.

When all alone I bear my pain,

And with my tears my face I stain.

There’s one who comes and comforts me,

And from my woes He sets me free.

There’s one who cares when no one cares,

And when my burden no one shares.

When other’s laugh and shake their head,

He saw my heart and how it bled.

When all is dark and nothing’s right,

He stands beside me in the night.

And when with sorrow I am numb,

He gently beckons me to come.

And who’s this One of whom I write,

That stands beside me in the night?

It’s Jesus Christ, my Saviour, friend

The one who’s love will never end!
