AM SENDING YOU - Louis Gervais

I AM SENDING YOU

Hello and greetings in the Name of the Son of Him Who Sent Ezekiel, Jesus Christ! “Then He said to me, ‘Son of man, I am sending you to the sons of Israel, to a rebellious people who have rebelled against Me; they and their fathers have transgressed against Me to this very day. I am sending you to them who are stubborn and obstinate children, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD.’” –Ezekiel 2:3-4

“I am sending you.” God’s words to Ezekiel. “I am sending you.” Does God make mistakes? No. “I am sending you.” Does He send servants without reason? No. So there is no fault with the Sender. To whom was Ezekiel sent? “A rebellious people who have rebelled against Me.” “To them who are stubborn and obstinate.” The NAS footnote reveals that it could be literally translated as “stiffed-faced and hard-hearted.” Hmm… “Hard-hearted…” Ezekiel 2:6a : “And you, son of man, neither fear them nor fear their words,” “The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.” –Proverbs 29:25 KJV.

Ezekiel 2:7-8b : “But you shall speak My words to them whether they listen or not, for they are rebellious. Now you, son of man, listen to what I am speaking to you; do not be rebellious like that rebellious house.” God demands obedience, which is better than sacrifice, “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.” –1 Samuel 15:23 KJV Ezekiel was sent to be an uncompromising man of God and chosen prophet to proclaim unto Israel their sin and Jerusalem their iniquity despite the intense hatred and severe trials which his obedience would bring upon him. But does God make mistakes…? May each of us be courageously obedient by the power of God! “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.” –Isaiah 55:10-11
