Amy Carmichael 1867 -1951

Amy Carmichael was born in Ireland. She became a missionary to India, working with the Church Missionary Society. Amy Carmichael founded and ran an orphanage at Dohnavur, saving young girls from temple service. Many of them learned to love the Lord Jesus as well as Amy Carmichael. Amy wrote many poems and some fascinating stories about the people she worked among, including _Mimosa_, which is perhaps the best known.
