Condemned

Though man was made by God’s own Hands
Condemned, condemned he surely stands

Though man was made by God’s own Hands
Condemned, condemned he surely stands
For he who darkness chose–not light
Who started wars–who cheapened life
Who virtue stained–who honour slew
Who loathsome things did think and do
Condemned, condemned he surely stands

This creature made by God’s own Hands

Yet, the Creator chose to save
Yes to mankind His Son He gave
His only Son was sent–alone
For awful sin He would atone
God did not send Him to condemn
His Love was thus revealed to man
A Holy God’s amazing plan!

Oh man if thou condemned shall be
Though Christ has suffered Calvary
It will be at the judgment throne
That you will stand–condemned–alone!

In life you God’s salvation spurned
And from His open arms you turned
Thus He the Holy Judge will say
“Depart from Me–that Awful Day!

“For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world
through Him might be saved.” John 3:17
