HOLDS OUR HAND
Hello and greetings in the Name of the Son of the One Who Holds Our Hand, Jesus Christ! “The steps of a man are established by the LORD, And He delights in his way. When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong, Because the LORD is the One Who holds his hand.” –Psalm 37:23-24 A thought which I find precious is that God not only creates us and then recreates us, but He is willing to go through this life with us, step by step. “Nevertheless I am continually with Thee: Thou hast holden me by my right hand. Thou shalt guide me with Thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.” –Psalm 73:23-24 KJV
What joy is ours that we can have the Omnipotent God at our side? The One Who Has All Wisdom? Our Comforter? He Who Shows us Mercy? He Who Cares! “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and He delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with His hand.” –Psalm 37:23-24 KJV He orders our steps, yes, and He guides us. But not only as a commander giving orders from afar but also as one who goes with us and is always next to us. “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” –Psalm 46:1b KJV. What great mercy and grace are lavished upon us!
What a privilege it is to have this faithful Companion Whom we don’t deserve. “I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit,” –Isaiah 57:15b Thanks for your prayers for the persecuted family. They are in need of prayer for their personal safety. Mr. Kussman, Mr. Van Niekerk and my grandmother are in need of personal salvation. As we spent the week making appointments for the Free State Tour we experienced the Lord’s help in our efforts. We went to Hennenman, Winburg, Bothaville, Welkom and Kroonstad (spending about 24 hours at each town) before retiring to Bloemfontein. Lord-willing we’ll schedule more openings next week before driving the ±1,000 km (620 miles) to Cape Town on Thursday. Please pray for safe travels and for the Singing Outreach which starts on Friday. May God receive the honor due Him in our lives this week.
