I WAS SURE BY NOW GOD

I was sure by now God, You would have reached down
and wiped my tears away.
Stepped in and saved the day.
As Your mercy falls I will raise my hands and praise
my God who gives and takes away.

My strength is almost gone, how do You want me to carry on?
But once again I will say amen, and as this storm is carrying on I want You Jesus to lead me on …
You are there in the future … waiting for me.
And in this turmoil and wind I could barely hear You say,
“My child I’m with you.”

And every teardrop leaving my face.
I know You caught them into Your scarred Hands …
and when You are looking upon my face …
seeing my heart torned in pieces …

You never left my side not for one moment
And gracefully and tenderly I hear these words …
“I will never leave or forsake thee my child!”
My hands in Jesus, my all in all … Jesus lead me on.
