Sammy Tippit Audio Sermons

Sammy Tippit was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He graduated from school in 1965, which was the same year that he found the Lord as Savior. He felt a call to the ministry in the same year. In 1968 he married Debara (Tex) Sirman, and they had two children and have five grandchildren. He was ordained as a minster in the Southern Baptist Congregation in 1968. He started an organization in 1970 at first called Christ’s Love in Action and now changed to Sammy Tippit Ministries. He reached out to people in the dangerous drug-infested areas of Chicago working amidst addicts, gangs and vulnerable youth. His movement was called ‘The Jesus Movement’. He conducted youth outreaches in Germany in 1971. He went to the Communist Youth Festival in 1973 to share the Gospel with as many as possible. He went to witness countless times in Communist lands as well as holding evangelistic campaigns in Moldova as well as Russia, Romania, Ukraine, and Albania. He also held the first evangelistic meetings in the open in Mongolia. In 1992. He received honorary doctorates from different universities. After the genocide in Rwanda, he preached there urging leaders to reconcile. He also met with peace negotiators in 1998. In 1999, he preached to a huge crowd of 300,000 in Ethiopia, in 2001 to 120,000 in Ethiopia and in several other countries as well. A television ministry was started in Iran in 2004 reaching over 6 million there. He also ministered in America since 2001. Video ministries and evangelism and discipleship training via WhatsApp was also started. Sammy Tippit’s ministry is widespread and continues to reach people to the far corners of the world.
