Jesus - Martha Petrusevich

Jesus I stand and before my eyes I see,The man, who had to die for me. So that I, wouldn’t need to die, And forever live with Him on high.

I stand and before my eyes I see, Amazing love He has for me. Love like this is hard to find, Yet He offers it to all mankind.

I stand and before my eyes I see, His love filled eyes look at me. With love so deep and love so pure, Willing this pain for me to endure.

I stand and before my eyes I see, In His loving eyes, the silent plea. “Will you give your heart to Me? I want from sin to make you free”

I stand and before my eyes I see, His tears, His pain, and agony. I see the nails, the cruel thorns, That as a crown His head adorns.

I stand and before my eyes I see, As He hangs there and looks at me. I see the crowd, I see the throng, I see my sin and all my wrong.

I stand and before my eyes I see, The cruel cross that rugged tree. He bore my sin and all my wrong, Though, it to Him did not belong.

I stand and before my eyes I see, That great price He paid for me. So that I could start to live anew, Follow Him and His will pursue.

He suffered there upon that tree, He had to die because of me. Because of sin and all I’ve done, That day salvation’s plan begun.

He died for me so I could live, His life for mine, He did give. And thou He was a sinless man, This was God’s salvation plan.

I stand and before my eyes I see, All He had to do, to make me free. To suffer there, His blood to shed, A crown of thorns upon His head.

Mid mocking and scorn He died, As the crowds their King denied. Yet He bore the pain so patiently, To make me free, to make me free!!
