O Thou That Hearest Prayer – Angie Gerdes

O Thou That Hearest Prayer, I’m coming now to thee
When pain so deep has left me numb, hear my silent plea
When questions fill my heart and soul, and darkness hides your face
When storms are raging fierce and strong, you see me in this place
O Thou That Hearest Prayer, I’m coming now to thee
O be my refuge, be my strength, there’s nothing good in me
When doubt is filling up my soul, and Satan whispers low
Renew my faith, restore my soul and still the winds that blow.

O Thou That Hearest Prayer I’m coming now to thee
And when my heart is overwhelmed, hear my silent plea
And lead me on to higher ground, upon the Rock to stand
Forgetting all the world behind, I’m reaching for your hand.

O Thou That Hearest Prayer I’m coming now to thee
When faint and worn I can’t go on, O Lord put strength in me!
When hopes are crushed from year to year and faith is fading fast,
O come to me, reach out to me, and answer prayer at last.
