This Year I Lost My Confidenc

This year I lost my confidence
In God; His love, His care,
So that I stumbled on the path
My helpmeet was Despair.

I seemed to hear a gentle voice
That bid me look on high
To see the jagged, rugged path
Was leading to the sky.

Lift up, lift up your confidence
And see your God above.
The storms, the trials, the tragedies
He reigneth, child with love.
